I'm the guy who is moving on to a new chapter in my life.  I've been a director of sales for a multi national electronics firm, a corporate flight attendant , a corporate pilot and a police officer.  Now, after retiring for the "last time," I'm off to hike the Appalachian Trail.  My original goal was a true through hike, but due to personal constraints, I will be doing the hike over the summers of 2018 and 2019.  In 2018, my goal is to hike from High Point New Jersey to the northern terminus, in Maine.  In the summer of 2019, I plan to complete the trail by hiking from Springer Mountain Georgia back to High Point New Jersey.  I've started with a few day hikes, like the one pictured here from High Point to Unionville, New York.  Next will be the balance of New York, then on to New England.   Stay tuned for updates and photos of my adventure.
