The group arrived at the airport early, so we got a jump on our day. After collecting luggage, off to the bus we went, and out to Arlington Cemetery. There, we went to the eternal flame for JFK, the monuments for the USS Maine, the Shuttle Columbia and Challenger. We also watched the changing of the guard, at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. The next stop was the USMC memorial We managed a brief stop at the White House. Then finally, we went into Washington. We saw the Vietnam and Korean War memorials and ended our sights at the Lincoln Memorial and the Reflecting Pool. A long, but interesting day for all. Whistler signing out to prepare for another exciting day in the capital.
