DC Day 2

Up early and on the bus for the US capital. Shortly after arrival we were on line for our narrated tour. Lots of information in a short time but everyone seemed to have a good time. After the capital, we took a short ride to the USDA cafeteria for lunch. Some took advantage of the organic selection while at least one of us made due with a large piece of German chocolate cake and some sliced pineapple. Full from lunch we were off to the holocaust museum. This is a very somber experience for young and old. The afternoon was taken up with Mount Vernon, what a special place and full of information. Tonight was the ghost tours, unfortunately due to the rain we did the tour on the bus. This was comfortable but I’m sure walking the streets after sundown would have added to the experience. Tomorrow is promised to be less busy with pool time after dinner. Here’s Whistler signing off and hoping for dryer weather, tomorrow.
