Sunday - May 31st- Start day -1

Well, I’ve arrived at the AT, mile 1801, south bound. With that done, I have roughly 400 more to go. The rough tough days have started (I’m sitting on my private balcony, at the Mountain Harbour B&B, drinking a YEE-HAW IPA and listening to live Blue Grass Music).

Tomorrow, after having what has been voted the best breakfast on the AT, I’ll start walking. Tomorrow I’ll climb from 2500’ to 5500’ in 11 miles, then in the coming days, continue to 6500’ which is the highest point on the AT. This section is said to be one of the prettiest with high peaks, The Grest Smoky Mountain park and lots of streams and lakes. Due to limited internet connection I’ll have Debbie add photos to my posts when she can and I’m sure she won’t be able to help herself and will correct my grammar and spelling. Thank you, Miss English teacher.

Well, my beer’s about gone, so it’s back to the saloon for a refill.

Until tomorrow.

Happy trails
