Quarter Way Inn to ChatField Shelter
The first full day of hiking with a full pack is done. The weather was great. It was cool with a breeze and partly cloudy. Day one is always a challenge since you don’t
have your trail legs or shoulders yet. It takes a few day for them to get with the program It’s too bad there’s not much to take pictures of. The trees are fully leaved out so the hiking is truly in the green tunnel.
Now my hammock is set up and I’ve cooked some chicken corn soup for dinner. It’s a light dinner for the trail, but lunch was a roadside Mexican restaurant with multiple drink refills, sadly they didn’t sell beer.
Good weather is expected tomorrow and I hope that holds true. Every nice day on the trail is welcome.
