The Refuge Hostel
Another hiking year in the books. It was a good two weeks. The final tally was 187 miles with lots of elevation gain and loss. The mountains are higher here, but the climbs are gradual and less technical than the northern half of the trail. The views haven’t been as breathtaking, but the ones to come will be. I have about 400 miles left to go, so that’s a couple more hiking seasons. It’s time to put away the trekking poles and stow the gear for next year.
