The Cabin to Speck Pond- Well, as long and hard a day as it was, this was what I came for. The climbs were long, but spectacular. There is no way words or pictures can do them justice. Most of the day was bright and sunny, but I managed to get caught in a thunderstorm when just .3 miles from the shelter. I got into camp, got into dry clothes, now I’m getting ready to climb into the sleeping bag to warm up. Tomorrow will be a shorter day, but is rumored to include the toughest mile on the entire trail. Well, Whistler is off to bed to recoup for another day.
