Got up early and headed for Jo Mary Road and NY food drop. Last night was great. I got my best night’s sleep in a while. I camped next to a waterfall and it was cool and dry. Some change from the hurricane the night before. The walk was easy, I did about 16 miles. My feet and ankles are getting a little sore, but holding up well. Great views of the many ponds along the trail, and the bugs aren’t too bad.
I saw Katahdin for the first time today; she’s a monster, but I’ll leave my pack at the bottom and race up the 5 miles and 4000 verticals foot elevation change, because Debbie wants my picture on the top.
44 miles to go.
Whistler signing off again to eat.
