Up at 5. Out at 630. Better views today and some cool encounters. Early in the day I met momma turkey and her chicks. She had a lot of them, I hope they make it. After that an impressive turtle in the trail. More salamanders and lots of ravens that didn’t seem afraid of my being there. Went through several rock scrambles including the one called “knife’s edge”. It wasn’t too bad but a lot of work. Cooking dinner now, then to bed. Tomorrow is another 27 mile day, I hope there are fewer rocks. Whistler signing off from Allentown shelter.
Another day of rocks and rain
