Day 40. And then there were rocks

Updated: Aug 22, 2018

PA is famous on the trail for rocks and tough trails, and one day in, I can say it’s no exaggeration.  As level as the trails are compared to the AT north of here these trails are much harder on the feet. I’m thankful I got new boots as the trail runners I’ve been wearing wouldn’t have cut it. Today, I managed to beat the rain and am relaxing in a little motel in Wind Gap. This will be my last entry until next season. It’s time for me to head home, until the white blazes in Maine and new Hampshire call my name, in the spring. Thanks for following along for the last 513 miles. Whistler out for now.
