Boots off Hostel to Boots off Hostel
What a great way to hike. Up at 630, breakfast at 700, shuttle to a drop off at 8 the 10 miles back to the hostel without a 30 pound back pack. This was, without question, the prettiest section I’ve done this year. The trail was great with a few technical sections, but mostly smooth trail. We climbed for 3 miles, 2000 vertices feet, and then the same back down. We got back to the hostel just before 1. Then my hiking partner, Pat, took a shuttle to Damascus to get his car with all our resupplies only to get there and realize he left the keys at the hostel. Not the end of the world, but it will cost us an extra day on trail. Having said that, I’ll get another morning off while Pat goes to get the car, hopefully, with keys this time.
Whistler signing off, with an update from somewhere tomorrow, other than here, if CLE remembers his keys.
